Thread Starter | Now For Something Completely Different... Please give this a listen. It's certainly alternative, but won't fit snuggly into any genre. It was written shortly after Sept. 11th 2001 when I was still trying to make sense of it all. It is about the celebration of music as a tonic to soothe the soul... "Smother Me with Virtue" Recording info: hard drive fromat w/ CakeWalk 9 Cool Edit Pro for 24 to 16bit conversion mastering w/ Waves L1 instruments: Strat, Washburn Acoustic, Korg MS2000, Kurzweil PC2, Drawmer Pre-Amp, CAD mic |

| I like the analog synth at the start (I'm not into it though when they go out of sync - perhaps a little more work on the math might help) and the analog sounds later in the song are pretty cool. - Vocals have a Getty Lee Vibe in some places - you wouldn't happen to be Canadian now would you? Overall it is a very a laid back song it could use more analog synth sounds througout the song to pick it up a little. Perhaps some knob turning on that Korg will do the trick. Nice song - it's not what I listen to but I can respect the work that went into it. CIAO |
