Advice on metal mix (from a classical guy)

I'm doing 3 metal tracks for some friends as a demo. I normally do classical/jazz! I'm looking for some feedback on this track (minus vox at the moment).

Any help with the guitar tone/drums would be appreciated :-)

Cheers guys

Perhaps the higher frequency range could benefit from a wider stereo image...something like a short bright plate included to add air. This, I suppose, would be achieved with the addition of a separate send bus. From what i hear the room in which the snare was recorded could use a low-mid frequency boost and a slight mid cut to add body and reign in the mid-range resonance. The guitars could be slightly less sharp.
