I've recorded stuff on a 4 track before and the band I joined 5 yrs. ago has a tascam 8 track reel-reel (took a dump) but this is the first time I tried everything through a computer. My mic selection is pretty sparse (working on that now

) just a couple of 57's and a audix fution4 drum pack. I got a sd condencer (AKG something I think, High scool donated it

) for a single overhead and a couple chaep peavy's that we only use to practice with. I recorded the drums with an old peavy 16ch mixer but I only have a M-audio 2496, so kick on one track and everything else on two other tracks. I tried to EQ one to get more snare/cymble and the other for toms. Vocals are unfortunetly tracked with a 57 (didn't have the pop screen yet) with mix down low on my computer speakers. Bass was direct with the amplitube aplied. Mixed it down on a set of Alesis M-1's. We just got a Mxl 077, Vtb-1, delta 1010lt, and a shure SD condencer so I'm gonna try and retrack it. Just woundering if anybody could give some ideas on things I could improve on? Tired of lurking and thought I would come out of the closet tutt . Thaks for looking.
