Hi people, I'm new here, as you can see from my post count. I noticed this board for its quality and the valuable knowledge that many of the members possess. That's why I kindly ask you to criticize the attached song, I'll try to return the favour. The song is by"Settuno" a fairly new band from Leiden, The Netherlands, we have only done one live gig so far, which was quite successful, by the way Some six weeks ago we started recording a demo, intended mainly for promotional activities. And hopefully to be sold to our soon to come fans.I'm the bass player of the band and responsible for the recording, mixing (and mastering) of our songs. I'm also closely involved in the songwriting process, though most of our tunes start from rhythm-section jams. All recordings on this (and the other four) song(s) have been made in our sonically less than ideal rehearsal room, using low end gear (MBP, Logic 8, Focusrite Saffire Pro 26-interface). I've got several half-decent mics, amongst which are a SM57, an AKG C 3000 B, a SE 2200 A and few more simple dynamic mics. Please tell me what you think of the song, the mix, the overall sound, etc... Thanks beforehand! |

Quite a few posts seem to have been lost during the outage, never mind. To spur some more interesest, I decided to put up a few more tunes. Uploading them seems to fail right now though. |
