To all those who have golden ears.

Need some of those good ears to listen and tell me which mix sounds better. I been beating my head against the wall with this remix. Each was finalized with different plugins. Its an older cover I did and I have been messing with it for a few days now. But I am trying some new plugins and I need someone else to give opinions on the one that sounds better. I have my favorite (well they all stink). Let me know yours. The last two I didnt trim and fade the end, so there is a bunch of musical rambling. They are a little bit hotter too. Dont let the loudness sway you. I need the one that sounds best. If the majority like the one I like, then I must be heading in the right direction. Oh yea, one plug in is controversial to some. Thanks

I redid the mixes. I hey were lacking some low end. I guess we have no Golden Ears here. I no the tune sucks. Its about the one that stinks the least

I think 2 is best. Like the rhythm guitar sound a lot. It is also the warmest sounding mix.

I only listened to track 2, but for starters the guitars are way too panned. Try to panning them closer to center. Bass is nice and defined though, but the drums need to have more impact. The efx on the vocals is WAY over the top. The mix seems to lack focus having too many elements here are there. It is very distracting. Mono can be your friend, embrace it.

For some reason only the first mix is working for me.
I've gotta say that it sounds like you have some massive widener on the track - guitars are way too far away. But that sounds like more than one could do by panning wide.

Vox up1.5dB, with a little more 800Hz (+2dB?), to give em a little more presence.
Cut a little less 350Hz on the kick too i reckon. Overall the drums just sound a little overEQ'd to me - but i think ifd you fatten up the low mids in the kick a touch that could be forgiven.
