Please comment on the sound - "Ett fast grepp om din hand"

Hey gear slutz!

I´m quite pleased with the sound I got in this recording. It´s a great swedish song called "Ett fast grepp om din hand", written by Johan Larsson, a friend of mine. He plays the piano and Erik Linder - also a very good friend of mine - is the vocalist. They were recorded separately:

ESI Wami Rack 24 with Swissonic WD-8 clocking was used in both recordings.

The piano, a Yamaha CF-III, was recorded in the Filadelfia church in Stockholm (a great concert hall), with a pair of Studio Projects C4 mics in A-B, about 30 cm from the strings, and a pair of Neumann KM84 10 metres out in the "audience" pointing away in an ORTF config. Preamps: Spirit Rac Pac mixer... :/

The voice was recorded in my living room with a Studio Projects C1 through a DIY preamp.

Mixing

Piano: balancing of the 4 channels with pan and gain
Vocals: gain, de-esser, reverb (IR Concertgebouw from DR-777 and Lexicon Pantheon)

I absolutely love the piano sound! THe CFIII is an exceptional instrument and you managed to capture it very nicely.

Vox: the soft passages like at the beginning sound thin and not very intimate. Maybe he should have worked closer to the mic but i recognize the C1 there .... I dont think it's the right mic for that sound, although it sounds (to me at least) better when the singer opens up a little.

Hey I am being picky here anyways .... You did a great job and the tune is very nice.
