Yep!

...nah I'm just kidding actually not bad! Cool beat, cool sound, I don't really know what to say about it other than it gets a little repetitive (the chorus and verse basically have the same music). But if you're a beginner in the game this is actually really good, man. What software do you use?

nice job. good vocal performance. the vocals keep moving on (intensity/emotion-wise).. but the music goes no where.
2 cons for the music
#1 it's not nearly as gansta as the rap.. you don't need to fill out the background.. let it breathe.. syncopation baby!
#2 the string arrangements are corny
(not sure if you were asking for content criticism)
the mix sounds pretty good

um.. sure troy

i agree w the dynamic issue on the beat.. but that is just a fine detail.
but the comparison to other rap on this forum is plain bad word here
if i wanted criticism on a song, "you are better than garbage" does not help me in any way.
i'm not even gonna start about the label comments

encouragement is great.. but it can easily lead to a faux sense of achievement (dur?)

most interesting vocal sound that i have heard in a long time. sort of raspy/crackly. i think the originality of your voice could take you a long way.

You definitely have a unique, cool vocal tone. It's almost like what if Gnarls Barkley rapped. Keep it going, man!

I thought the vocal had potential...The closest music that I listen to that is close to hip-hop or rap is Buck 65 or Beck, stuff that makes you think not really gangsta.

I really appreciate the feedback. As far as arguing over music being "gangsta" thats not me. I feel like music should have a point a purpose, not just be a way to show off what u can afford or talk bout how real or gangsta you think you are. but if thats how u express yourself then fine. to each his own. I like deep thought out type shit therfore I write it. Nobody makes the kind of music I like to listen to so i have to make it. anyway if anyone is interested in hearing another

take it easy

*sigh*

you can take what i said in whatver context that will help you..
i meant that the music was not agreeing w the vox (which was very emotional and aggressive IMHO)
and by gangsta, i was not referring to cars & bitches lol

i like the second tune. the music is more congruent w the vox

troy.. if you want to critique me, be my guest
