Hey sinsay,

great song and production.

I would like to ask you a question about your clap sound you've used in your song.

Did you chopped it of somewhere - or was it achieved by processing?

Specifically the "wet/bubbly/smacking" feel of that sample.
I hope you understand what I mean.

Sometimes it's hard for me to describe such things in plain english.

Is it filtered/processed in any way - or just layered? If processed - what boxes/software/signal-chain?

thanks in advance on any info you can provide - it's much appreciated.

Man, this definitely ain't my thang (I'm a more alternative-guitar-type guy) but damn that shit sounds GOOD!

Congrat!

Sorry I couldn't be more constructive but hey, I like it, I like it...

clap clap

Thanx j.m..
The clap is a couple of samples layered and each one ran through a different filter (I don't remember excactly which was which--I have a few guitar filter pedals that I use for stuff like that). If I understand you correcectly I think it's the two filters opening and closing at different times that give it that bubbly kinda sound.
Signal chain MPC 3k>envelope filter>either U5 or MP2NV>888/24

1k,2k,4k.....but no 3k?

alternative

Betsy, Betsy, Betsy,
I feel you, and really appreciate the compliment too.
Actually when I'm not around the rappers I secretly listen to a lot of alternative stuff (as well as 60's & 70's rock, classical, some jazz), I just happen to make a living with rap music.
I'd love to give some alt stuff a whack, give it some beat for the steet!
