Indie Rock- Check it out

Haven't posted here in a long time, wondering what kind of comments i can get on a mix.

i was playing with some parallel compression on guitars, but i think i comped the crap out of them...well i know i did. anyone think to much?

aside from some of the editing that really needs to be fixed.. whats it sound like?

sounds like everything has had the crap comped out of it. the bass has lost all definition and is basically a ball of wool. i'd check your release times on the kik snare or drum group. they sound too slow. the drums could use some timing work also, but the slow release seems to help throw them out even more.

guitars are a little grainy. they work for the lo-fi intro but sound a little deflated.

the song is pretty good though. i kinda liked it.

Two things...

the rhythm guitar in the first 8 bars is pretty far out of tune - the G# at the top of the chord is really sharp.

The mix feels very narrow. I hit it with the Flux stereo tool, widening it a bit and it really opened up. Not saying the fix is in artificial stereo widening, just that it's narrow in the mix.

The singer sounds great.
