New song demo, please give me some help.

Its just a demo. It will have real drum and bass. The lyrics and melody need to be more solid, it was a first take but any thoughts would be great.

Oh and check out the forum for a contest to win some gear and music.

Hey this is my outhouse to crap in... I am the lone purveyor of crappy lo-fi MP3s here, please find another forum to unleash your musical bowels upon.

The "singing" sounds like Barney the Purple Dinosaur after he drank a fifth of bourbon. Sweet

What vocal mic is that? Hmmm I wonder.... KSM27 perhaps grudge

For starters, your primary goal should be a vocal that's in tune and mixed in a way so that the lyrics are discernable. Also, it would be nice if there were guitar PARTS rather than just multiple tracks of soloing throughout the song.

What do you mean about guitar parts. There is a verse part and a chorus part. It might need a bridge but there are parts.

First of all ... how long have you been writing music ? Because, I see what you say and see what other people are commenting also. And both have their points. If you are just starting out, I think you have what it takes to be a good writer someday because you have some melodic things that are pretty cool. But you don't have the experience yet of knowing how or where to use them. Mostly in the song structure department. I'm assuming this is one of the first songs you ever wrote or recorded. Keep it up, people in this forum are high caliber commentators. Try posting when you hear something on the radio and you put it back to back with your songs ,and you think are of the same level. Anyhow.. good work. Keep on trying

I have been writing music for 10 years but haven't really done anything in the last 5 so this is a beginning of some new songs. THis was literally first take off the bat.
