See how this is translating. I'm afraid the guitars are too loud. I know there are plenty of other problems too. Work in progress as my playing gets better a little at a time. Somebody please take a listen. SoundClick artist: Otis Keith Watkins - page with MP3 music downloads |

Sounds damned good here. Levels sound about right. Nice playing. Guitar tone sounds really good. |

sounds great, but i'd agree with the orig poster, guitar could be a bit loud depending on if its a lead or a rhythm instrument.. but tones are very nice : )

Thanks guys, and yes, it's not mixed at all so I agree about it being too loud where the vocals will be. I'll work on that later. I'm just trying the 2 mic thing, panned. I was just worried about the overall guitar volume. When I mixed one of these track earlier my drummer said "holy crap, turn the drums down!". I tend to mix my guitar more in with the drums and bass so I'm trying to overcome that. I've been listening to the radio some and realizing that all these years I was too far back. I guess I was never destined to be a star. |
