darker rockin' tune w/ great female vocalist - am I done (enough)?

Could you live with this mix? I had fun taking this mix to a different, darker place than where it started.

I thought that I had it nailed and the band wanted more bass... which I gave them(don't they always)...

Probably go with mix you thought you nailed. It is already a dark song sonically and tempo-wise. I would also suggest lowering the guitar on the left or somehow helping it blend better. I see where you are going with it, and it'll be there if it had more glue and snap.
