I have been producing industrial/ambient for a few years now but recently I have started working with DNB stuff, influenced by evol intent, spor, etc. I think my sounds are generally ok, but I just can't seem to get my mix to sound phat and huge, so any advice would be great!! my track: http://www.woundsoftheearth.com/DNBPREVIEW.mp3 |

Drum and bass isn't my genre, but I think if you added in some sort of sub/low end kick in there it would sound much fatter. I'm on earbuds right now, so maybe I'm not picking up any of those frequencies that you might already have, but some more low end might be the ticket. If you're mixing with a subwoofer, maybe try unplugging it and getting the mix phat that way? *shrugs* Just a thought. |

The track sounds over effected. You have all kinds of filters and phasers happening that I think its too much. I would leave the drums without effects and filters. Overall, the track sounds thin, probably because of this. |
