Room mic test

Well, I posted in the high end about what to try fist but thought I'd post this piece here after I tried it. I tried using 2 mics on my boogie and I think it sounds good. I just wanted to see how it streams.

This is not mixed other than the fact I cranked the slide above everything because that's what I'd like you guys to listen to. I did a dynamic on the grill and a LDC about 4 1/2 feet back. The PR30 is run through my Great River preamp but the RED Type B condensor is just plugged straight into my Firebox. I think it sounds fine. Let me know what you all thing. I'm going to see who this link to soundclick works.

It should be the first track. The other guitar is just through my MicroCube direct to preamp. And this is a working demo. The drums need to be recut and I've made some strucrual changes in the song so the bass kind of goes off on it's own.

Anyway, let me know how it sounds to you (not the playing) and what you are listening on. Thanks.

Wow. I was hoping somebody would have an opinion. I'll just assume that it's a perfect sound.

Haha, love that "chicken strut" one.

I think you got some pretty cool tones there. Its all in context, of course, but they sound neat to me.

well, thank you. these are just scratch tracks, some done direct into the GR preamp, some with the microcube and only this partial piece with the room mics on my boogie and just the slide part of that. The one with slide needs the drums recut, the bass recut, guitar and slide recut so basically it's a throw away. I guess I should call these writer demos as I'm still working on lyrics and structure. I'm relearning guitar after not playing for quite a few years. Still working on getting some chops back. I don't figure I'll ever play like I did at 30 years old because now it's just a hobby. Hopefully I'll have something together before summer. I appreciate the feedback.
