Hip-Hop Mixing Advice (MP3 Inside)

I recently did a remix of Ice Cube - Hello; to learn mixing around a solid rap vocal. Ive been practicing mixing for a while to better my craft, and would love feedback and advice on how to better my mix. If possible what can be enhanced, what weak points do you hear, etc. The song was mixed with the Waves API Bundle and Sonnox Limiter on the bus.

Beat is cool, i love it.
First thing I noticed was the drums were somewhat weak, not the sounds the you picked but in the mix, espeically the kick. I would have brought some of the mid in the kick a little more to give more weight and possible break up the sample into different freq ranges and treat them differently. Same with the snare.
As for all the other elements, I think it sounds good. I think the track overall could have had a little more clarity and sounds could have been seperated a little more. None of the elements really stood out to me and everything really blended together to give the track a good feel but.. Its been a bout 5 minutes since I listed to the track and all I remember is that I liked it but can't remember why. The sounds could have more character in the mix.
The beat is perfect for the vocals. They could have been a little louder in the mix but you might have eq the vocals a little to make them work with the track better.
