This is the 1st master I got back for the new Album I'm in the middle of.

I hear a lot of hiss. Is this recorded digitally?

Hey, the recording quality sounds good. Nice catchy tune. The bass sounded a little out of tune to me at parts (like 2:07, 2:18), maybe the D string.

Somewhat. Acoustic was via Soundcraft Ghost into HD24, so that accounts for the hiss. The rest was a Sony Console, and had no noise problems. The acoustic was so quiet that a lot of gain was needed. I'm gonna ask the mastering to do some noise reduction.

It's called grip of death. I think he pressed too hard. I'll fix that, though.

It sounds to me like there's some cleanup work to be done. There's something cloudy about the mids. It's striking me across the whole mix, but especially in the bass.

Also, what's that crazy electronic swirly sound that sounds like it pitches down at the end? It oscillates and then pitches down, stops, and then there's a brief noise. Was the bass tracked close to computer monitors. It sort of has that CRT induced EMI sound to it. Weird.

I have remixed, and resent for mastering.

That swirling is the guitar amp. That's the sound that i gave when it switched to standby. I thought it sounded cool, but with the new mix, bass was re-tracked, and some new stuff added at end.
