Thread Starter | Building A Studio - Need Advice...
The structure of a room-within-a-room is complete. Meaning, framing, and drywall (sheetrock, gypsum board), including electrical wiring is complete. The 2 "exterior" walls of the studio are layered with 4 sheets of drywall and one 2" layer of stucco (exterior walls), and the 2 interior walls are layered with 3 sheets of drywall (two inside the studio one outside). The two interior walls connect to a garage and hall. I am running out of steam, so do I really need the 4th layer of drywall in my hall and garage? My reseaech shows that 3-4 layers of drywall is "enough."Thanks in advance for your advice! I will post my "whole" studio project soon... |

I would guess 3 is enough.... but if you have the means to do 4 why not? It will be harder to fix this problem when you get it finished and realize 4 would have been better. This may not be much help but post some pics so I can get a better idea of things |
