thanks for listening! I decided to give away the song "Miles" on my EP as a sort of taste test. It's available to download on my site now. |

bumping my incredibly old thread here because I put my music on bandcamp as a name your price download. (it's free if you'd like!) I'd rather more people listen to it and it's not like I was making much from it anyway. Hope you enjoy. It is also available from iTunes as well as CD baby if you prefer those stores/options.Same link up top or in my signature will take you there. |

I'm definitely critiquing at a really high standard, because otherwise I would just have to say it's right on, and everything sounds great. Maybe a little more kick. It's hard to say more besides that without knowing what you were going for. If you are wanting this to be the next radio hit, I think it needs more. It just didn't have anything to make me want to listen to it again. It's a forgettable song. If I was going to be really hard on the song, I would say that the song could get kicked up a notch if the vocals had something special about them. Just some straight up Simon Cowell style critique I guess. (I only played the first song) |

I'M LOVING IT!! It reminds me a lot from Matt Pryor to Ben Gibbard, do you like them? And it sounds awesome! Bravo! |

Tennis, thanks for the critique. Give the others a shot, I'd love to hear what you think. In fact the first song in my opinion is the weakest and I almost held off putting it on the EP. Probably a bad thing to open with but I couldn't find a better order to stick it in. JiD, thanks for the kind words! Ben Gibbard and Death Cab was definitely an influence when I made this. I have not heard Matt Pryor. I'll check him out. |

no problem, let me know if I cross the line. I'm still working on the art of critiquing. I know that for me I'd rather hear about what could be better instead of just "hey that sounds good!" I have a song up for listen too, it's under "a lesson in loudness...?...?" which I'm try to see if I can convince the band I recorded that louder isn't always better.
