The vocal rap sounds great... To much midi sounds for me, but it sounds good, maybe to much stereo spread on the instruments, I would like a more tight sound to the nicely tracked vocals.

cool track...

..too much sub-bass in the track....it's almost non-stop...(check out the Neptunes..they leave a lot of space in the bass....so what's there is more noticable)...there's not enough different between the kick and the bass.....the kick needs to be more punchy...it's not a good sample....ditch it or try some of Thrill's kick techniques

the rim/clicks sound thin and midi-ish......send them both thru a mic-pre....distorted...cut off the transients...make 'em fatter.......

your monitoring sucks.....i can hear that!

Teach,
Nice tune....I love the snyths and guitars. I do think the kick could be a bit bigger...and are you going to add a bass line? If there's one there then you might want to try to bring through it's upper freq's a little more so it can be heard on small speakers.

The high end is a little crispy too IMO.

I'm really liking the song though..nice work.

Forgot to write something earlier while on the chat but i love this tune.

The second mix is a lot better too. The guitars are at a better balance with the rest of it for one thing and they`re out of the vocals way but still there if you want to hear them.

Good job man !

Great rythmic vocal phrasing. But I think that 'behind the beat' feel is a bit overused, effective as it is. Can't fault the mix on this listen (cans).

It when an instrument or singer is slightly behind the rest of the music in time....kinda dragging if that make sense....

It`s kind of like syncopating.

Bob Marley used to do that all over the place.

I personally think it`s cool and not overdone at all.

If you can pull it off good it means you have some good rhythm which Teach does.

I like the tune except for the dragging way behind the beat. I think that style is tired, at least if it's done that way for the whole song.

The sub/bass line is way better than in the old version. The mix is better too. Clearer. The hi-hat like sound is kinda grainy, but not bad. Think I'd turn it into a melodic synth note that outlines the riff, kinda like gtr is doing... and harmonize it to the gtr part... but keep the hi pitch texture. It would be cool to EZ-E the synth note so when it harmonizes with the gtr part, there is an added higher pitch at an off interval. Sounds mo' crazy gangsta.
