Thread Starter | A tune recorded in Seattle, mixed in Texas
Here is a little something done a long time ago, in the Mackie studio actually (yes, there was/is a full blown studio there). I really did a piss poor job of getting good sounds to tape due to time constraints (seven tunes in two days if I am remembering correctly) but here are some remixes that my partner and I produced back in my Texas studio. Here are the particulars of the original session as I my foggy memory serves. Kick-Beta 52 snare-SM57 Toms-Beta 56 OHs-SM81 HH-SM81 Bass-DI Marshall 100W 1973 nonmaster model-SM57 Marshall 100W JCM2000 model-sm57 Vox-Microtech Gefell UM92.1 Tube mic Bass used was an Ibanez Sound Gear model of some sort as I recall. Guitars were a Les Paul gold top and BC Rich Bich as well as an Ibanez USA custom. There was a beater acoustic on the session as well but not on this particular tune. I think the drums were Yamahas, though the model escapes me. All 24 tracks were recorded to the evil Alesis ADAT XTII decks. They were transferred to an MDR90 hard-drive a couple of years back so I could load them into my HDR and re-work the mixes. Anyway, it is a chunky rock tune, here ya' go! |

It sounds good...the guitars are a little thin for my tastes but you know....
