Indie Rock Track Advice

I just bounced this 1st mix of this indie rock song I'm working on.

Overall I like it, but I feel like it doesn't shine enough in the upper eq and it's a bit mudding in the mid range due to alot of low guitar parts.

Also, I am aware the singer is not the best. It's kind of there "style" or whatever

Any advice, critiques, etc?

Really? Either you're tone deaf, or this is an artistic statement. Even the guitar is off? Purposely?

tone deaf might be a little much but the singer does suck ass tho man and she doesnt even sound hot.. at all.. Shes on key at the beginning of everybeat then off again the rest of it and the guitars were a little off at some points... theres no need for a solo at the end either it just needs to end as soon as possible sorry to be mean tho not a swipe at u... I like the leslied guitar a lot tho

song is kind of cool, but the kickdrum sound seems really out of place... a little too eq'd maybe?

Hmmm

Im not too sure what to think of this track. from a production stand point the work is decent, but from an artistic standpoint I think this track fails to deliver punch or style. Mind you I love really weird off the wall crap like Waits, Bowie, Zappa but this seemingly seems either A) extremely amateur songwriting, or B) a Novel attempt at uniqueness that fell flat. While timing can be off, key can not. So far, Im almost half way through this track and there seems to be nobody in this song thats playing with or in the same galaxy as the other. Its like they were winging it and the vocalist just laid a vocal track over it. Back to the drawing board on this one. Her vocals are not bad at all... They just need to be tweeked... Welcome to modern world of recording....

i like the idea. it does fall flat it tho, doesn't really pop out and grab you. vocals def need some tweaking to say the least good start tho.
