Beginner Metal/Hardcore recording with M-audio Fasttrack Please give advice

Hey i just started recording with a M-audio fast track and i wanted to know what people thought of the first hardcore song i did. I have limited money so i don't have decent equipment but i recorded the guitars and vocals with a Samson R21 and the drums were programmed with a mix of EZ drummer and Addictive Drums. I have yet to put bass tracks in but I wanted to know what people thought of it. Any advice will help me, thanks a lot!

The song itself is great. I really dig the tight guitar work. The guitar tone isn't bad considering the equip you used to track it. BTW what kind of amp did you use? If I had to guess I would say it sounds like a peavey 5150. Other than the obvious gear upgrades I would say that your mix could benefit from a little creative panning, right now everything sounds too narrow and centered. I'm sure there will be other's to chime in with more mixing tips. I mainly wanted to post because I like the song .

Thanks alot man I appreciate the comment, I used a randall RM100 Amp which uses modules that emulate other guitar amps and i used a rectifier model with a 4/12 cab with vintage 30's. Should i pan the guitars all out more?

Record the same guitar twice and pan each track left and right. That will improve your mix very much!

Not bad mate. I think you did well with the stuff you have. I am just listening on a bumbum set of headphones which is not ideal but the main thing that sticks out for me is that the clean vocals for the chorus a perhaps a little loud and you could be more liberal with your panning.
But nice song mate. Well done!

cheers mate!

I have very little experience with mixing and the tech stuff, but to my ears it sounds fairly professional, although the melodic vocals sit on the mix and it could be panned more, some of the guitars sit on the mix a bit too much or are too quiet, but mix it a little bit more and it'll sound professional. The guitar sounds class, really heavy and I cant tell the drums apart from real ones

thank you guys so much for the advice, Im going to try panning out the guitars more and let the vocals sit more snug in the mix and ill repost the song to see what you all think.
