Neato! Reminds me of the Smashing Pumpkins cover of "Destination Unknown" by Missing Persons. Cool kinda New Wave 80's vibe. I think you nailed the genre!

I like the fidelity of the mix, although the overall sound apart from the drums is a little flat. Mastering should take care of that. I like the sound of the snare in context with the mix, but not so much at the beginning before everything comes in. It takes some getting used to. I like the stereo spread of the whole thing, sounds wide and analog-y.

The "give me a lap dance" lyric comes off as a little quirky, but I like it in the end; It adds to the song's personality.

All in all, the song feels seasoned and purposeful to me. Like a nice casky Merlot on a breezy spring day sitting outside on the deck. You know the game and you played it well. I dig it! thumbsup

I wanna see the video! I'll bet that was fun to shoot! Is there stop motion photography involved? Some inverted color washing? Perhaps some claymation?

This could start a new dance sensation. Everyone can say,"I wanna lapdance!" Cool song. I agree with the preceding snare comment.

Thanks for your comments, I completely agree the snare should have been dry at the beginning. Actually my engineer was going for a dry ala "no doubt" snare throught and it was a last minute thing that I told him to add lots of reverb. I'm glad you didn't comment anything negative about structure, that was my main concern. This song was planned and executed with a purpose, I want to enter the club scene. And i'm glad you think I accomplished that. Here in Bolivia, if you want to hit hard people have to dance to your song.. and also hear it on a drinking/dancing enviroment, since there is no record label system down here to truly promote our stuff.

The video, is me acting cool with 11 girls. We tried to keep a balance on how we portrayed the girls, didn't want to go the slut/hiphop way. I haven't seen the images yet, but I think it was well done also. Down here doing a video is pretty inexpensive, and the results are very MTV like. Anyway, thanks again for your comments man.

Don't know about starting a new dance sensation, but who knows The video crew thought the song sounded amazing at the club we worked in. And the models seemed pretty into it to, just keeping my fingers crossed.. I would really like to make some money in music and be able to live from it. I just hope that people don't expect me to write this type of songs later on, because I did drift away from my style with this one. I used strike, LE on my macbook, and the keys where done with sampletank in case anyone was wondering.
