'A' for effort. I love that song.

I felt about this track the same way I felt about that Beatles remix done for Cirque de Soleil by George Martin and his son:

If the world needs a remix of an all time classic, REEEMIXXX it then. Theres nothing new or inventive here. You seem like you have the harmonic and tonal skills, but you are not doing anything new. This is a CLASSIC, those are big shoes to fill. Its gotta be BANGING to win hearts over. Sorry for caps.

My girl and I are big Led Zep junkies, we know.
You dig? Nice job.

Yeah jacker a lot to like here. Felt the singer rushed a bit in the first verse although he seemed to lay back a bit more in the second, the french accent is quite appealing and he manages the slides into the stratosphere well. However as hle points out I think u could afford to be a bit more inventive in ur interpretation of it......don't know off hand....what would daft punk do with it? Covers are hip right now so take a few risks u never know

Bon soir, Jacker.

J'aime bien votre programmation. Le chanteur est très bien! Le mixe aussi.

C'est rock n'roll sans doute. Et votre utilisation des effets est excellent.thumbsup

Jacker, you're too kind.

I've heard your stuff before over at the Toontrack forums. You should do this professionally.

Let's say I send you two mp3's. The first with drums ( and whole arrangement) and the other without drums.

You get the idea from the first mp3 and use the other one as background for your own programming.

Then you send me the midi file and I send you some money.

How about that? Interested?

(I assume you use DFH. I'm on general midi/Logic. Is that a problem? Can you convert the DFH mapping to GM?)

Think about it. thumbsup

Jacker, I'll contact you soon. Thanks for the address. I hope we can work something out. Your programming chops are better than mine. Well, let's try and see what happens. I'd love to give it a try if you are. Talk to you soon.thumbsup

Have you heard the Tool version of No Quarter, it's pretty good. If I were to remake the song, I would try and make it my own a little more than you are doing, it sounds very good though. I would turn up the bass a little. It will help on the heavy guitar part make a big guitar sound and it gets a little hollow during the guitar solo. Your friend does a good job on the vocals, I don't like that effect...but I didn't like it on the original either. I love Led Zeppelin but this is one of my least favorite songs of theres. I always wanted to do a bluegrass version of Out on the Tiles, maybe one day when I can play banjo. Great job and good luck...
