Just finished trance

Hi everyone. I am bit nervous of this thread =)

So, i recently got finished my latest trance mix.

I think that i done pretty good job considering that the song is 100% Propellerhead Reason (3.0).

The point of this post is:

a) To have feedback on my work
b) To show people that you can really make some sort of music with Reason.

Please, im hungry for feedback

i agree and i don't think you have any reason to be nervous.
(sorry, horrible pun).

it sounds quite good to me; i hear only one timing issue with the stab-synth line near the middle-beginning, it sounds like you played it live and just missed the beat barely. that's a real nitpicking issue though (but you asked for criticism).

overall, good job!! i love to hear good music made with minimal equipment!!

cheers,
~j.d.

I really dont know what stab synth you are talking about? The Square at the beginning where the beat breaks down? Any reasons why i would have a timing problems would be just the synths attack amount. Cant figure out anything else...=/

Please peoples!! More feedback required!

Hi!

I agree that Reason 3.0 is a very capable program and programming my own combinator patches with subs and mallstroms is one of my hobbies actually (I whas #1 in the recent Big Lead contest )

But about your track.. I think it starts to shine at 2:07.. but

I have the feeling the mix could be improved. Some instruments are realy far away in the mix, and perhaps you did this on purpose, but sometimes there are simply to much instruments at the same time, making it sound crowded and especially the softer instruments don't have enough energy to be heard..

The mix also lacks a little bit "punch" or loudness..

Disclaimer: Everything is just my humble opinion and I'm not a pro!

But I like the track
