i think this post and the attitude behind it is kind of lame.

"i dont mind u guyz prac your mastering skillz on my tracks"

you "dont mind" if someone does you a huge favor and masters your music for free? geez.

"well some""the ones that are copywritten"

is that a joke? its kind of absurd and i cant tell. are you really asking for a favor and at the same time implying someone might steal your work from you? do artists normally get their work copywritten before they go to a ME? is this a common problem or is your work that special and posting gearslutz ME's that untrustable.

good luck on your quest.

Perhaps some more info helps. Like if it's a demo or a real production with funds and label backing.

The purpose of the beats is essential as well. Knowing if it's for stand alone use as music in its own right or intended for further use by vocalist(s) changes the typical way of mastering. (unfortunately)

Clipped/squashed/brickwalled "loud" sound may be good for something like a breakbeat CD. If it's supposed to go to vinyl or be further treated and mixed with vocals, it'll probably be better to master for sonic pleasure only. Then, you might be better off taking the mixes to a studio and attack each sound on it's own. Or do stem mastering where subgroups are delivered on each own such that everything in the mix sits right with all faders at zero.

There's a lot of frightenly competent and busy people in this forum! And a lot of aspiring ME's who can spare some time if the project is musically interesting and makes new contacts. If you have good vibe/groove, perhaps good sound too, even mayhap promise not to make any complaints about level.. you'll serve a delicious mastering treat! =)

How about posting some MP3 snippets?

Cheers,

Andreas Nordenstam

ok this is outa hand and kinda funny too lmao

i wasnt tryna trick anyone into mastering my tracks when i made this forum.."Anyone wanna prac there mastering skillz "

but for the ones that didnt catch on yet ..i wanted to hear how my tracks would sound mastered...so i made this forum seein if anyone wanted any tracks to prac they mastering..because thats somthing useful for someone eles..and thats useful for me too!

And No..I didnt wanted to pay for it , if i did wouldnt had made this forum. plus i wouldnt pay $100 upfront to a person that i have never heard there work b4, lmao maybe thats just me ..but iono

The whole point was to try to get someone to master my tracks and someone maybe that likes to prac mastering on diffrent genres or somthing (iono). So we both be happy :)...4 the ones who suposely had a problem wit this forum..u didnt have to view it, or agree or watever, ion care..

For the ones who wanna help tho..i have lots of private Messages of people that wanna do it ..thnx ..i appreciate dat

Why do you write like that? Are you having a stroke?

I don't understand why some people intentionally take the time to spell slang expressions and pronunciations phonetically. It just makes the results harder to read and makes it less likely that others will take the writer seriously.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, the whole point the music industry is near screwed, "oh man I want it for freeeeee", do you ever get free beer at the grog shop, how about free food at a restaurant or free shoes at a shoe shop. I doubt it! You expect free mastering and then insult people on here, ha. Now that is a laugh!

Whats the problem and whats the point of you all arguments?

Is it that I will not find anyone to do it?

Nope, cause I already got it done, thanks to some helpful people

Is it that alot of you people are engineers (that usually charges for this) complaining that i come on here asking for something for free?

Its not like i went in someone eles thread and asked, this is MY thread, you dont have to come in or respond if it bothers u that much.

so really ? what bothers you so much about this thread? ... lmao honestly i wouldnt had made it if i knew that it will offend so many people
