Who around here is mastering rock like Ted Jensen?

We are looking for a mastering guy in the style and sound of Jensen. I contacted his manager and it is just gonna be to hard to use him; financially and availability. So who on here has the goods? Looking loud and massive without all the trashy artifacts.

Ted could be considered one of the top five ME's in the world.

If someone else could master the way Ted does then that person would be one of the top five ME's in the world.

Good luck with your search and I hope you find someone that fits your needs.

i do not totally agree with that. Being in the top 5 involves mouch more than the technical skills and knowledge.

Yeah I know but I've seen people all throughout my career that for one reason or another were not at the top of their field do amazing work.

Maybe also consider Justin Shturtz, Jensen's colleague at Sterling who masters in Jensen's studio after hours, and Ue Nastasi, another very good but less expensive ME at Sterling...

Good luck...

I second Dave Collins. He's done some great work, but maybe you're trying to cast the net wider?

Hi James

I use Ryan Smith at Sterling for all my projects and can say from experience he is up there with Ted, having used both of them.

PM me if you want a before and after example.

Second that for Ryan Smith, he's done a lot of metal/rock stuff (and a salsa record!) for me and I absolutely love the sounds he gets. Tried a lot of mastering guys before I found him....
