Need somewhere to master this jazz/pop record

Hi, I've been working on an album project for the past few months for a band I play with at the studio I co-run. We are now at the stage where we need to get it mastered (in fact we need to do so soon as we are hoping to take the album away with us on tour in a few weeks). It's a cross-over of jazz, blues, and pop. The studio has only been open just over a year and we have not yet built up relations with any mastering engineers, so I'm looking for some advice rather than going in completely cold. The main thing for me is that it should be sensitive to the music as there is a broad range of styles, and since it is treading the line between jazz and pop, I wanted recommendations for somewhere that would deal well with both.

Anyway, I have uploaded some clips to soundcloud in case anyone would have a listen and advise (I brought them up to a rough level with the Ozone loudness maximiser, but it was hardly touching it so I don't think it has compromised the mixes). These are first mixes and probably need some small revisions - any thoughts welcome! My biggest problem at the moment is that the piano suffers badly when the mix is heard in mono - any advice on that would be appreciated.

A UK-based mastering house where I could do an attended session would be preferred.

Thanks.

Hi.

I have plenty of experience with Jazz and blues. I'm going to the studio later so I will check out the mix.

My studio is in London, attended sessions are welcome. Take a look at the studio here:

Without having heard the mix I would say that piano disappearing in mono is a sign of not a great phase relationship between the mikes on the piano (assuming the piano was recorded in stereo that is...)

I'll pm you later after I've heard the mix at the studio

Cheers

Peter

Hey,
As a former jazz-rock musician I'd be glad to master your project. Unfortunately I'm not in the UK so I can offer online co-operation only.
