Thread Starter | Acoustic jazz mastering - short attended session in NYC?
I'm currently mixing an acoustic jazz band and am pretty happy, but would love to get some perspective from a mastering engineer. I'd like to set up an attended session get some feedback, maybe tweak 2-3 tracks before I get much further with the mixing. Yes, this is as much for me as it is for the band. I'm looking for someone who has experience in the genre and has a full-range monitoring system as the problems I'm having are primarily to do with the low frequencies. I would prefer an attended session in the city, but will consider remote if you can provide examples and demonstrate your monitoring capabilities. Here's a sample: Bob Meyer Project - Brain Science by scottwilson on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free Thanks, Scott |

Thanks guys for the props! Scott - I'm in Greenpoint, Brooklyn convenient to the Greenpoint Ave. G train. Full range monitoring via B&W Nautilus 802's, lots of analog and digital processing options here. A few of my recent acoustic jazz credits are for Bernie Worrell (his recent "Standards" album), Erik Friedlander, Steve Elson, Michael Raitzyk, Michael Louis-Smith, Will Martina, Tom Casale, Denis Malloy You can pm me directly at steve at totalsonic dot net Best regards, Steve Berson |
