In England, The Exchange & Heathmans both have what I believe is well deserved reps as handling all genres of dance music, including house, very well. Tony Dawsey at Masterdisk has also done a ton of great sounding house tracks. I'm not sure where Herbie Powers Jr. is these days - but he certainly has cut some amazing tracks. And tooting my own horn here - I'm pretty proud of the work I've done for Martha Wash's "You Lift Me Up" among lots of others.

As far as a mastering house specializing in a single genre - I don't know of any that excludes working on genres and would be suspicious of those that do as a good ME should have lots of experience working with all types of music.

Best regards,
Steve Berson

i like all the engineers at Frankford Wayne in NYC. i use michael sarsfield but they're all good. they do a lot of bass heavy beats. Shane at Heathmans does all the fingerlickin and much more. as is the case with all cutting engineers, you want to let them know what sound you like ie loud (+3db) or really loud (+4/5 db)or really really loud (+6db) ect...never hurts to send a reference too.

Thank you for the replies.

Musiclab - It's like getting a hiphop engineer to mix a single. I wouldn't want Butch Vig to do it, but he's great at what he does. I just want a place that's great at mastering House music.

I saw some names of a place that does some of the stuff I like, so I will check them out...

Mastering IS NOT like mixing . The overall sound of the record is already there, and if its not then you need the best. I've done quite a few dance remixes for major labels and I know Scott, he will do a great job.

Any full time mastering engineer with a few thousand titles under his belt has probably mastered lots of House, Dance, Electronica, you name it. Get some samples. Many here can take care of you just fine.
