Indie Folk mastering recommendation

Hi everyone. I'll be mixing a really great young up and coming indie folk band (male and female singer - think Low/Dylan/Joni Mitchell/Fleet Foxes/Beatles). We'll be mixing to 1/4" 15ips Studer B67 from Pro Tools through my Soundcraft 6000. Lots of analog goodies and vintage stuff. They have asked me for mastering references and have talked with some people they know from Bernie Grundman's facility. I see them working with a more indie oriented mastering engineer and thought of asking everyone on here for recommendations. Budget is $1000, should be around 10 songs and 35-40 minutes.

Hi everyone, please stop sending me personal IM's about your services. I can appreciate the sales effort but half the people who have emailed don't even have credits listed or a tape machine in their equipment list. Saying you work from wavs tells me you didn't read my post. How again can I send a 1/4" master to you via the internet? We're not looking to get test samples from an unknown mastering engineer, we're looking to hire an established pro who knows what he/she is doing. As a mix engineer my reputation in making a recommendation is also on the line a bit. I have told them about a few people I have worked with in the past and just wanted to be reminded of a couple others who I have forgotten but have wanted to work with in the past.

When you email someone who even lists specific bands in their post and say you have done all kinds of metal, etc. it says to me you don't even understand what a potential client is asking for. If the band I am mixing doesn't see an established recognizable indie rock name or serious alt/classic rock artist within the first few names of your client list they will not be interested. No offense intended to those starting out.

Thanks utters. I have never worked with Alan but he's been on my radar for some time. I appreciate those kind of recommendations and have forwarded his info to the band's management.

Thanks Teddy Ray. I have many friends who have worked with John. I am definitely interested in Dave's work and have forwarded his info to the band's management. I appreciate the recommendations. I'll have to talk to Lucey as well as I am buying some Animas to mix the record on. Thanks.....
