Thread Starter | CD Replication in Los Angeles
Where in LA would you recommend for CD replication (not duplication)? I'm interested in the quality of the disc i'll be getting. I've been told glass mastering (though I don't know what that means) is the way to go. Is there really a quality difference between places or if they offer glass mastering is it just differences in pricing and packaging? So far I've been looking at GrooveHouse out in Woodland Hills. Someone also recommended Rainbo to me. Thanks! |

I recommend Groove House, in the valley, mom and pop, attention to detail, local manufacturing. CD & DVD Replication, Duplication, Printing, Manufacturing, and Vinyl Pressing by GrooveHouse (I'm not affiliated with them) sh

Using a glass master does ensure the quality this is because it is optically ground and polished then coated with photoresist a laser is also used to impose the data which is better. A glass master is usually made for larger runs of 500 or more. For smaller runs say less than 500 duplication is done using towers and without a glass master the quality is not quite as good.
