Unless you see a photo of their room, I would not take the gear list seriously. Looks like a UAD-1 card. The 'Pultec' is a Tube-tech...

I mean they may get great results but there is a lot of false advertising out there. Nothing about the room or acoustics, which is the most important part. Genelec 1032 are hardly mastering grade.

And that doesn't look like a Sony APR-123 1/4" deck on their masthead.

im sorry but i couldnt resist.. all the gear stated is all "recording gear" not mastering...

does that mean i dont agree a master can be done very well with nothing but a mouse, a computer and a set of speakers... No.. i think it can.. But...

No matter what gear they have... Or the room... means zilch... Whatever type of music you are doing.. ask for a comparable match.. then, ask them to test a song for 30 seconds of your own.... that will only show you what you want.. this day in age... it only takes about 2 to 6 hours to hear back a snippet of your work through there ears... Wherever they are in this world.. thank the internet on that... When you found your match... then decided if it is needed to attend the session.. or if it is not... there really is nothing better to have a Mastering engineer that you use over and over.. that has "your same ear" that you just send and never look back.. loosing the creative control; on that stage was a super awakening to me years ago... price is not relevant... they are out there...

you'll be just fine!!! thumbsup

They're only a couple of towns away from me. I don't know who they are & never heard of them. As I read it in another thread a potential client should hire the engineer not the company or website.

Not saying that place offers a good service, BUT photos can be faked and gear does not operate by itself. IMO what makes a "good" service.....is a good service, one which client has its needs satisfied. Reputation goes far beyond photos or gear lists.
