Indie artist looking for mastering sample

Hi all,

I'm beginning the process of recording my first EP. I received a very small advance from a local label so to save costs I will be doing most of my recording at home. I'm looking for someone to master one of my demo tracks so I'll have a better sense of how the finished EP might sound and benefit after mastering.

Again, I have a very small budget, so I can only set aside $10-20 for this 3-min track. I know that's very low but I only have a budget of about $150 to master the whole EP, which will be about 20 minutes. Please PM if you are willing to help; I can pay you via Paypal.

Also, if you do listen to the track and have any advice about recording/mixing, I would be very receptive to it. Even though I recorded my demo at home as well, because of the advance I'll be using very different equipment (for example, actually having two mics and a preamp instead of using my Macbook's built-in mic) for the EP, so any advice would be very helpful.

Thanks so much for any help.

If I were you I'd save another few $$$ (we are not talking about thousands of dollars, so it won't take you longer then couple days to save)
I think that 40$/50$ per song is really low budget, but on another hand I am 100% sure you will receive hundreds of emails offering you 'master' for 20$, and even for free..
anyway, if your music is important for you, don't spoil it with free 'mastering'..

also advice on mix/recording is one of first thing any serious ME will offer you,
it's actually a part of mastering process (improving mix by mixer after ME's info)

good luck with it

PS nice song btw

I'd have to concur.. invest more time & money into the recording/mixing until you're happy with it, especially for demo purposes.
Mastering – albeit crucial for final assessment & assembly – is ideally those final few percent in terms of production.

agree, but following this direction, I'd say invest more time in song writing, write great songs, and then record it properly....
mixing and mastering will be just a polishing tough

I appreciate the advice. I'm trying to learn as much as possible right now about the process of making music (whether recording, mixing, or mastering).

Thanks for sending me your offers and samples. I very much appreciate all of your time and effort. I have settled on someone to master my EP, so I will not need any further offers or samples. Thank you all again.
