Mastering in NY or LA

I'm heading to the US from Australia sometime July/August and was hoping someone could put me onto a good mastering engineer in either of those two cities.

My music is Instrumental hip hop and my preference was to be able to sit in on the session. I am not specifically after a big name or anything.

Preferably someone who can do an excellent job at good rates. So probably not a big name.

Lot's of great folks in NYC and lot's in LA. You are not going to be short pressed to find a great mastering engineer in either city.

It might be good to mention your budget and scope of the job in your post.

It would probably help narrow the field, whether it is someone with a higher profile name or not.

Scope? Do you mean intended market?

Not sure I wanna say my budget. I think I am more interested in getting quotes.

I don't have a massive budget but I am of course willing to pay fair price for good/great mastering.

Thanks for your reply? Are you in NY?
