Mastering epic rock/metal UK where to go?

Hey there,

Working with a band that'll want a couple of tracks mastered in the next month or two. The budget is quite tight (say £30/40ish per track) and the songs are quite long, around 7 min each. Usually I let bands look after it themselves or just have a pop myself. However this is a project I really care about and want to shine!

As stated the band is best described as "epic rock/metal" IMO. We want to get the best possible result for the money and obviously want it to translate well etc etc without someone killing it! Would be great to do it with someone who really knows their rock!

If anyone wants to suggest somewhere in the uk or PM me a quote, preferably south as I wouldn't mind attending (I'm in Brighton area) that would be great!!

Also (be honest now ) with a budget like this am I REALLY going to benefit? I have heard some god awful results from lower end "mastering houses".

Thanks XX

Hey Empora,

I'm in the same boat and was wondering if you got any worthy PM replies to your post? I'm looking to get a warm, atmospheric Metal track mastered for between £70 - £100, also preferably down south (Oxford/London area). Did you have any luck with yours? Any particularly good mastering engineers you can recommend?
