Jason Ward @ Chicago Mastering...

He doesn't know i'm posting this, but I thought i should share that i just recently had a project i mixed mastered by jason and he did a fantastic job with it. he had a great ear for the material, treated it with respect, had some good suggestions, and took whatever notes and input the artist had and really made it happen.

oh yeah, and the band got picked up by a label. his mastering didnt hurt the process at all.
so.
jason,
thank you very much. look forward to sending more stuff your way.

rock,

mB

That's great to hear. I literally got back from the post office an hour ago sending in material for a December 15th session. A good friend of mine recommended CMS after Bob did his most recent release on Dischord.

i'm recommending them for cutting 3 upcoming vinyl releases coming out of my place: these will most likely be post-mastering.

glad to hear kudos and that they respect the artist. thanks.

I had him cut the master for my band's vinyl, and it came out great!

My experience with Jason was all wonderful, most importantly the work, but also his professionalism.

My plans were initially another ME, who made an excellent sales pitch, calling me the day after I sent an inquiry about indie rates and spent an hour on the phone talking philosophy and whatnot, who had credits that I definitely was excited about, but his follow through was not on par with his pitch...
