wheatus pricing out vinyl lacquer mastering

Hello Mastering Slutz,

Now that we are finished with the 1st EP in our series we are looking into vinyl mastering and getting some copies pressed.

I'm shopping around for a lacquer mastering service, plating, pressing and package manufacturing. The master files are in DSD (.DSF or .DFF).

All recommendations or service solicitations are welcome. NYC area a plus. Also interested in looking into 1/2 speed, 45 RPM 12" LP mastering.

Please e-mail me at bbb@wheatus.com or to hear the material you can download it, multi-format including .DSF, free or donate at wheatus.com.

Thanks,
brendan b brown

Regarding half speed mastering - Stan Ricker is the main person doing this - but be aware that the distinct trade off with half speed mastering is that you get slightly less distorted high end but sometimes less defined bass response.

Right, no DSD here. Can you clock DSD at half speed? If not you can't do half speed cutting.
