Greetings from Absury Media, NJ

Hi, all.

I'm happy to announce that I've begun booking mastering sessions at Asbury Media, home of two time GRAMMY winning engineer (and fellow Jersey Shore native), Tom Ruff. You can read about the details here on my website. A press release has also been published at ProSound News.

After years of working at Sterling Sound, doing production for Greg Calbi and then my own mastering sessions, Scott Hull offered me the chance to work out of his facility, Scott Hull Mastering. I was thrilled to move over to Masterdisk when Scott purchased it in 2008. It's been a great year for me, with releases by critical favorites The Felice Brothers and future Bob Dylan/Willie Nelson tour openers The Wiyos, as well as lots of excellent projects from the NYC alt-country scene and beyond. I wish Scott and everyone at Masterdisk the best of luck - I'll miss you guys.

I'm really looking forward to working at Asbury Media. It's in the middle of a thriving local cultural scene, it's got a great low-key vibe, and I'd like to encourage prospective clients to make the trip there to attend sessions. I'll be offering the same mastering services at slightly lower rates, and I have a completely online system available to handle everything from booking and billing to file transfers and DDP delivery.

So, thanks to all the great people I've worked with in the past, and here's to a happy and prosperous future for us all!

ps - I will be posting a refurbished DK-Technologies PT0600C-III Master Stereo Meter on eBay this Sunday...

Best,

Richard
