Mastering competition

So I've tried different mastering engineers in the past and not been 100% happy with the results. As there are a lot of engineers out there it would be unrealistic for me to try loads of engineers on the same tune to find out who's is best. So here we are..

This is something I've whipped up in the last 3 days and I'd like to see who does the best mastering job on this record. The prize is a loyal customer (me) for future mastering. I don't have a huge out put but what I make will come to you (the winner)

- I'd like to hear the full version mastered so I can compare them fairly and just so you know I'm not trying to get a freebie, this is a low quality mp3 to get it in the 6MB restriction and it sounds pretty awful because of the reduction. However when I've finished this song and am totally happy with it, the winner will get my custom for the finished product along with future custom for my music.

P.S. this is a great opportunity to showcase your work to other people out there as well.

Good luck

Yes, it's a low quality mp3 so what's the point in asking someone to master it? If you want to hear some decent mastering at least give a .wav or .aif sample as a link from Yousendit or some such hosting site, mp3 is redundant as a mastering source.

Hi deeb,

I would be happy to help you but it will be better in .wav or aiff format.
You can pm me or send me your file via mailbigfile or yousendit.

cheers

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has taken part in my little comp and I'm very impressed with everyones effort/sound! It has given me a real insight into everyone's style and I'd like to say for me I think the best attempt was from VFP studios in France. It had the clearest, most interesting transparent sound and sounded the best on most systems. I listened to it on extremely high end hi-fi to crap car stereo systems and that was the most universally pleasing. Thanks again to everyone!!

Peace

Deeb
