Budget mastering in australia

Hi, first post here, but been reading these forums for a while, that damn search bar gets handy

I've been recording at home for about a year now, just using an m-audio box and pro tools, applying a few plug in effects and getting some fairly satisfying results with the time and money i've put in.

I want to release an album at the end of the year, should have about 10-12 songs on it. After all the hard work I've done and time I've spent, i guess I should go the extra mile and go get it mastered.

I'm a student, and don't have money flying from all directions, so I'm not too sure about who to get to master my mixes.

I currently live in melbourne too, but I'll get my tracks mastered anywhere really if it seems a good deal.

Cheers, thanks for taking the time to read this post!

In some of the really pro mastering places around, (probabaly lots but these come to mind) like turtlerock and don bartley's place, the experienced pro (don or rick) take on a talented tutor to train.

So they learn from the best in a fantastic room with great equipment, and can provide a mastering service with the good resources at hand done by the "new guy" at a much lower price.

Check that option out IMO.

I think Matthew Grey (sorry if I got that wrong) who frequents these boards also has a mastering service in Brisbane which could be worth checking out.
