Any good well known Mastering Facilities in Virginia, Maryland, or DC

Just wanted to know if there were any good well known mastering facilities in Virginia, Maryland, Dc?

Also, what are the top mastering facilities that big artists (pop, rock, r&b) or labels are using these days?

Just want to know. I have a small recording studio in VA and wanted to maybe attend one of the mastering sessions.

I usually master at the SoundLab at Discmakers but I wanted to try some other place. I went to Cue Recording Studios but that place is a joke when it comes to mastering. And around here there aren't any big studios besides Cue and Omega which also seems to not be a great place for mastering.

any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Post Yes, check 'em out.

Check out the mastering category of this page:

Recording Studios, Live Audio Recording, and Mastering in VA, DC, & MD

Bob Ebeling and Airshow are probably your best bets.

As you've found out, a number of studios in the area offer "mastering", but aren't necessarily specialists at it nor adequately prepared.

EDIT: I need to add Silver Sonya to the list... DONE.

gearmaniac,
Airshow is located in Springfield VA just off of the Beltway and Route 395, and is inside the Bias Recording Studios building. We are happy to answer any questions you may have (703)-642-9035.

I wish you the best of luck on your project.

NorseHorse's list of Virginia studios is an excellent resource. It will give you many good options to consider.

I should also note that we are in the process of building a new facility in Takoma Park MD, and will be moving from our Springfield location in May.

Regards,

-Mike
