Open Sesame searching mix/master

Hi everyone,
First of all, I admire the work of people who mix/master music. A good master can make or destroy an album. I would love to learn it, but I already have enough project going on right now. So I come to ask some advice. I'm the drummer of the metalcoreband Open Sesame from Belgium, in february we will be recording our first EP. In the beginning of this year we already recorded some songs but it didn't meet our high expectations, so we didn't release the stuff. We already found a very good recording studio, but the guy never mixed and mastered anything, so we would prefer to take it somewhere else to mix/master. My first question: how many will a very good mix and master of 6 song cost. And second where should we take it? We want a wall of sound that punches you in the face :p (I know sound polution, but that's what people want:s). Think parkway drive, arkangel, setup,...
Here's or myspace with the song we recorded a year ago, but as i said before, we didn't really like the mixing and mastering: www.myspace.com/opensesamebelgium and a movie of a newer song on a reharsal without our singer: YouTube - open sesame .

Many thanks in advance
Ruben

Hi guys, I got some replies, but most of them say we should split up de mix and the master. Most of the guys who answer do mastering. Are there people who are able to mix our songs? And well could anyone please explain the difference between mixing and mastering:s I know it sounds stupid, but I don't understand a thing of it.

Mixing is creating a cohesive product (the mix) from a collection of individual sounds (tracks).

Mastering is creating a compliant and cohesive production master from a collection of individual mixes.

Generally speaking (and I am a bit biased here) it's good advice to have different people on those different tasks.

Yes you need a mixing engineer and a mastering engineer.
a single person doing both is like a student grading his on homework
