Thread Starter | Mod note about "this guy rocks" threads
It seems like half of the posts to the "where to" subforum lately have been "this guy is great." While I think it's nice to say something positive about a happy experience, don't let this turn into a place with thinly veiled advertisements. It is primarily about "where to," not "where did." If you had a good experience with somebody who fits the criteria set out by a poster looking for service, then by all means share. If you got a recommendation here and are following up on it, that's also great. However, try to be reserved about just posting a new thread to plug a place. That can easily turn into businesses soliciting "testimonials" and make this place end up looking like a classified ad section. Thanks. |
