Best NASHVILLE based Mastering Engineer(s) for BLUES

Hello, I am producing a blues record and we are looking for a great mastering engineer based in Nashville. Experience in Blues is going to be a very important factor in deciding who to use.
Can you guys refer me to some mastering engineers in Nashville who know the blues?
Thanks

Isn't Brad (Euphonic Masters) in Nashville?

MasterMix does alot of the country work in Nashville, as well as a ton of the other genres. I'm sure they have experience with blues also. You might give them a shot. They are probably the biggest in town (I don't know about best, but they are the biggest for a reason).

Have you checked in Memphis for a mastering engineer? Memphis is a blues town, so surely there is somebody there with some good experience. Who does BB King's stuff?

How do you define what a 'peer' is, especially in this day and age ? The amount of gear you own? How many posts you have on Gearslutz? Give a monkey a keyboard and he'll eventually type out a word. Does that make him a peer with Steinbeck? - Paterno

Believe it or not I suggested that to the artist but the artist would like to do it in Nashville and it is my duty as a producer to facilitate the artist's vision

what he said

i love nashville but in the "music row" scene there is an embarrassing lack of respect for the blues as a genre that pisses me off. it is a lack of respect for any decent roots music really. i mean look what's being passed off as country. i saw a country "songwriter" at a bar as i was having a drink with friends before the levon helm show and the guy goes "i'm going to see robin thicke and beyonce. who's levon helm?" that being said there are quite a few folks tracking and mixing good rootsy stuff. these people are the exception to the rule. i'm sure there must be mastering guys who are exceptional in taste as well. i never thought of mastering as particularly genre specific, but i see your point about experience within the blues idiom. independant mastering was great to me though on a bluesy roots rock project.

Uh, Bob Ohlsson is in Nashville. Does being the mastering guy for almost all the great Motown hits count as understanding blues?

A huge percentage of country is done in Nashville however country has always been a tiny percentage of the music actually being recorded and mastered in Nashville.
