I've used Ken Love at Mastermix in Nashville (Nice facilities) and Sterling Sound.

Glenn Schick in ATL Glenn Schick Mastering . He is awesome. Masters everything from Ludacris to Wide Spread Panic. He also gives great feedback on how to improve your mixes.

Joe Yannece at Scott Hull Mastering. Great guy, great engineer. Gives his full attention to whatever project he takes on, big or small. Highly recommended.

Also, Dave Locke at JP Masters. Haven't worked with him in a long time, but he was great to work with and did excellent work on a DIY project that needed a lot of help.

I´ve done about 20 projects with Brad Blackwood and every time I´ve been blown away with the results. Top quality, no compromise, quick, flexible and smart. More-than-fair prices. There´s no weird or normal instruction he can´t carry away with better results than you´d envisioned. Mixes come back sounding like you mixed them and always better in every way (both really unusual results IMHO). Test of time gets more surprising as time goes by. Airplay too. ANY problem/change has been addressed in a blink (many times at no cost).
Tried him recently for european style dance/techno: The low end blew my pants off. I´ll keep coming back, for sure. Only complaint: He´s becoming too famous lately (see thread).

Full recommendation for Dave Collins at collinsaudio, LA. too.
Big, clean, organic, juicy audio, artful sequencing, great service. Patty (studio manager) is lightning quick, efficient and a really nice person.

If you´re not allergic to a little more corporate but very personable feel, Tom Baker at Precision Mastering, L.A. is fantastic: Incredible ears, HUGE agressive masters, enormous experience and a very enthusiastic attitude. Kudos for Claudia, too, who manages him in a smart, charming way.

I´ve tried a lot (not all, for sure) and these guys have always come at the top of their game. I recommend you any of them wholeheartedly. Check their websites and artist lists and feel reassured: It´s not hype, it´s the real deal.

Has anybody else been having trouble with Brad Blackwoods quote page? I've been trying to get an estimate for a project. Does anybody know how much Brad charges? If you can't post it, could somebody PM me and let me know? Thanks in advance!

PM him here or over on PSW; or call the phone number on his site, or email bb@euphonicmasters.com

Sometimes those entry pages on a site get flakey. Let him know when you contact him in case it's broken and he's unaware.

Nix was good!

I had a good experience at Nix mastering in Memphis. My mastered CD did not sound "different" from what I gave them, just better. By "better" I mean richer, more dimensionality, more clear, with a nice compression. The music was a combination of acoustic instruments and extreme computer processing.

I just had a recent project mastered by Richard Morris of Scott Hull Mastering and he did a great job. Very pleasant environment and very good service. I will use them again.

I've engineered some projects from the Boston/New England area and for my money Waltz Mastering has always come through . I did some looking around when I first needed mastering and this mastering studios name kept coming up, I highly recommend them...

He has the best method for uploading/downloading I've seen, and his work is excellent. Very easy to work with, as well. Highly recommended!

Another recommendation for Rich, I've had a couple of projects he's worked on, both at Sterling and at Scott Hull Mastering, sound awesome.
