Duet 2 noise problem?
I'm getting noise in the form of high frequency tones (around 2 k when I checked it) when sending out audio from my DAW via the balanced outs.

I first thought it was a problem with unclean electricity source but then I unplugged everything and ran my computer on battery.

It's pretty low in level so I mostly hear it when I send audio to an amp and boost the level.

Has anyone heard of a similar problem? I've done some testing and have pretty much excluded all other sources. But I might have misses something, wouldn't be the first time.

Problem with the testing is that this issue seems to come and go.

Any help highly appreciated.

I using it on a Macbook Pro. I can't for the life of me figure out what's causing this. It drives me mental sometimes, the noise becomes very evident when compressing really hard.

Anyone recognise this problem?

Here's a sound clip of it, the tone changes is frequency, here it's around 860 Hz with a few harmonics above.

Just to be clear, I'm sending the balanced outs to my outboards, and the unbalanced to my monitors. The problem thus occurs in a mixing situation when sending out a signal and back into my inputs.
