Thread Starter | Roland Space Echo RE 201 Maintenance
Hey guys, I just got a Roland Space Echo RE 201 and after using it briefly the tape snapped. My model is japanese and I can't read the instructions on replacing the tape. If anyone could explain the process or email me a photo of the english instructions on the machine it would be greatly appreciated. thanks |

I have a 501 but it should be similar: Do you have a Roland replacement? If so, they come in a little box. You set the box in the corner of the tape spool area then just pull out enough tape from the box to thread around the heads. Screw the cover back on and turn it on. The rest of the tape will slowly come out of the box and fill up the spool area. If you're trying to fix the tape you have, get an edit block or overlap the two pieces, cut both at a 45 degree angle at on time with a razor blade, tape together with 1/4" edit tape. Old school! |
