How to keep ear pads on Sony headphones?

Seems like every singer that uses my Sony MDR-7506 headphones pulls one of the ear pads off (and of course doesn't know how to fix it) !

Has anyone found a way to keep these pads on with moderate use/abuse?
Thanks!

Takes careful poking in with a thumbnail. Also not abusing them by throwing around, and so on. Tell them, be gentle or I'll add $100 to your bill (maybe...).

But a better thing is to replace the Sony earpads with the Beyer ones, that are velveteen instead if cated oplastic film. The Beyer ones don't shed black bits on your head:

only place I know to get them. They have better edges to stay on, dont' get slick when sweaty, and are much better than the Sonys.

I wear my mdr-v6 headphones all the time. When the earpads would slip off, I eventually got to be pretty good at getting them back on by moving a small flat screwdriver around underneath (like installing a bike tire). I think the main reason they slip off so easily is that the pads rotate and pull the tucked-under part out. Look at the ear pads from the outside and they should be lined up with a uniform border around the plastic oval. In my experience they wouldn't pull off easily so long as they were rotated correctly. After a while they started shedding on me like loujudson mentioned, so I ordered the Beyerdynamic replacement pads from Sweetwater.

The Beyer ones feel softer to the touch but the foam padding they come with is stiffer than the original pads on mine. If you wear glasses like I do, expect the new pads to squeak for a month or two whenever you turn your head :/ After breaking in though they are quite comfortable to wear for long hours.
