A question for Berlin based Producers

Hi guys,
am trying to figure something out here: how much would you be willing to pay for a ~25 m2 acoustically isolated and treated dry hire room in a good location for short term or long term? 24 hour access, some day light, not a square box, not a basement. Speaker playback primarily: no bands, no practice spaces in the vicinity. Shared communal areas, but not rammed up against other rooms.

Let's say the location is in the better part of Kreuzberg.

Would there be interested in such a space? Would there a better place to ask this question?

cheers guys-

Totally depends. I have seen rooms going from 4€ per sqm up to 15€ in hip and fancy areas. Also, is this a business or residential contract. Generally good studio places are kinda rare in 2013, thus on the expensive side. Are you looking for a room? Or do you need someone to take over your place? Since i'm contemplating moving around with my studio i'm always interested in options. Shoot me a PM if you like.

EDIT: Also room height is an important factor. Its the cubic size which is important. Even 70 sqm can be a total PITA acoustically if the room is just 1.90 mtrs high.

thanks for the thoughts, I will send a PM a bit later!

the scenario is momentarily hypothetical. to further clarify: theoretically the room would be basically a professional grade production/mix room. So 3 meter plus ceilings, treatment and isolation. Just no equipment or furniture. Warm. flexible lease. So no serious investment by the renter necessary, in a desirable, central location. Would there be interest in rooms like that? I don't think it would be financially feasible to provide that for even 15 euro/m2 with the current base rents...

You are very right about the rarity of available studios spaces in the central areas... Someone should really do something about that! (;

This definitely sounds interesting to me, and at least to a few other producers I know.

will do!
but how much would you be willing to pay? This only starts to be feasible past a certain price point!
